IT’S BULLETS AND BAREBACK FOR DON KELLY IN THE THIRD SEASON PREMIERE OF FISH OUT OF WATER ON APTN

The award-winning television series Fish Out of Water begins its third season on the Aboriginal Peoples Television Network Tuesday, January 5th, 2010. This comedic documentary series features city-raised Ojibway Don Kelly as he journeys back to his Aboriginal roots in a new adventure each week. With each expedition Don is pushed to his limits as he tries to re-connect with his ancestry and spiritual values. Don learns the hard way that the traditional path is not nearly as smooth as he imagines.

On tonight’s debut episode Don heads to the Batoche National Historic Site in Saskatchewan, the actual battle site of the valiant last stand of the Metis in the Northwest Rebellion of 1885. It is here that Don must re-enact the life of a Metis soldier. From cooking lead bullets over an open fire, preparing and loading a muzzle and learning the language used by the Metis, Don soon discovers the real language barrier and intrepid battle is between him and his horse.

Fish Out of Water airs Tuesdays at: 7 pm ET on APTN East
7 pm MT on APTN West
7 pm ET on APTN HD
