NEW DIRECTION FOR JOE MEDIA
Joe Novak, President & CEO of Joe Media Group has announced to staff that he will be leaving the company he help to co-found and Matt Gillespie will take over as the new President & CEO.
“Matt and I have been planning my leaving for more than a year, waiting for the right time. With the industry now starting to slowly rebound, new Alberta Government incentives and the very successful production by Joe Media of the Gemini Awards, the time is right”, said Joe. “I have some family and personal matters that now need my time and then there are some new areas I want to explore. It’s time for new ideas at JOE: and I am excited by the plans Matt has been preparing for the company and the new direction he will take Joe Media in.”
“We will miss Joe’s creative energy and leadership here and know he will continue to make a contribution to our industry”, said Matt Gillespie. “But we very much understand, support and respect his need to address important personal matters. Joe will continue to work with me in the next short while as we make the transition.”
This change is effective Friday, December 11th. Joe’s last official day will be January 8th and during that time he will be taking some time off and completing some projects.
